Coca-Cola Bottling Co. United. has opened its new $350 million, 100-acre campus, now one of Alabama’s most recognizable and visible corporate headquarters buildings and a new visual gateway to Birmingham for those flying into the city or approaching by car from Atlanta.
“Now, when we are coming into our city, if you are flying, or you drive in, this becomes a great gateway for anyone coming to visit us,” said Coca-Cola United CEO Mike Suco. “We think it presents Birmingham in a much better light.”
The campus features the Coca-Cola trademark “Dynamic Ribbon” across the front of the new headquarters building facing Interstate 20/59 on 40th Street at the Tallapoosa Street exit, and a 60-foot-long Coke-bottle-shaped plaza visible from the sky to welcome air travelers…
