A 22-year-old man arrested Sept. 11 has been indicted on a capital murder charge in the 2024 mass shooting outside Hush Lounge in Birmingham’s Five Points South neighborhood. A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Aaron Orlando Jones-Turpin on Oct. 2. Jones-Turpin is accused of capital murder in the deaths of Tahj Booker, Carlos McCain, Anitra Holloman and Roderick Patterson Jr. The shooting happened Sept. 21 in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue South.
