First Alert Weather: First Alert Weather Day for a flash flood threat beginning Wednesday afternoon

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Next 24 Hours: We’ve enjoyed a nice break in the showers this evening, with breaks in the clouds. This has allowed temperatures to rise into the 60s, some of the mildest weather in over a week. Showers will be on the increase again later this evening, with the possibility of some patchy fog overnight. An axis of heavier rain and embedded storms will set up over northwest areas tomorrow morning. This will bring an increasing risk for localized flooding. We’ve declared a First Alert Weather Day for tomorrow and Thursday for the threat of flooding.
