If you thought the obsession with Stanley Cups had gotten out of hand, wait until you hear about this 16-year-old girl in Birmingham, Alabama , who has collected 67 Stanley Cups so far.
Amelia Awad, a sophomore in high school has almost 70 of the insulated cups that have not only gone viral but have also caused arrests and near-riots at local Targets . She told The Wall Street Journal that she’s “obsessed” and her parents have spent over $3,000 on the cups for her.
“If they are rare, I would want to use them more because I’m special for having them,” the teen told the outlet.
Awad not only collects the cups, but she also coordinates them with different outfits, which she debuts for almost 138,000 TikTok followers. Though the Journal did not cite the teen’s TikTok account, The Messenger found an account with around 138,000 followers which shows the owner of the account organizing her Stanleys and laying out outfits to match.
