A woman found dead on a north Birmingham dead-end street was the victim of homicide. The discovery was made at 8:21 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of 18th Street North. Officer Truman Fitzgerald said a city worker found the woman unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced her dead on the scene.
