Police said they received several calls about the kangaroo, but had no information about its owner at the time
An Alabama man caught a kangaroo on video hopping through his neighborhood after it escaped from a home where several other exotic animals are housed.
The kangaroo was spotted hopping through Bessemer Sunday night. Truck driver Dee Miller was driving through the area when he saw the kangaroo , recorded it, and posted the video to Fa cebook .
“I’m sure they’re looking for it,” Miller told AL.com . “I’ve never heard of anyone (exotic animal owner) being here until I posted the video.”
Miller said he saw the animal with his mother at about 7 p.m. that night, standing in the middle of the road about five blocks from his home. He said they drove back around to look and record it before it hopped away.
“I said, ‘Mom, you see that?’” Miller told the outlet. “There it was, a kangaroo standing right in the road. I said, ‘It’s a kangaroo , Mom.’ Then it went to jumping in the grass.”
