Police searching for missing Bessemer teens last seen over the weekend

BESSEMER, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Bessemer Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two missing teenagers.

Both 16-year-old male Damari Jamal Philip Jr. and 18-year-old Ervin Perez Santos have been reported missing, according to BPD.

Philip Jr. was last seen on Saturday at 3:00 pm at his residence in Bessemer. Philip’s mother said she returned home that afternoon and her son, his gaming console and some of his clothing were all missing.

Philip is a Black male, approximately 5’06” and 140 pounds. His mother told officers that he could possibly be trying to get to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Santos was last seen at his residence in Bessemer early Sunday morning. Santos’ mother said she has not had any contact with him since then. She told officers that she doesn’t know if he left the house on foot or was picked up by someone.

Santos is a Hispanic male, approximately 5’08” and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown Hoodie, black Nike Air Force ones and a white baseball cap.
