Alabama Public Television to premiere ‘Defending Freedom: The Arthur D. Shores Story’

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Alabama Public Television will premiere a new documentary on civil rights attorney Arthur D. Shores on Thursday night.

The one-hour documentary titled “Defending Freedom: The Arthur D. Shores Story” will begin at 7 p.m. The viewing will be held at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, located at 1701 4th Avenue North.

Shores played a pivotal role in shaping the course of civil rights in the South. Speakers will include Barbara Shores, daughter of Arthur, as well as retired judge Houston Brown and others. You can learn more by clicking here.
