BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — You cannot enjoy the Super Bowl without good food. Restaurants and catering businesses in Birmingham are anticipating a busy but exciting Sunday.
Iron City Pizza Company in downtown Birmingham made extra dough and prep pizza boxes Saturday for Sunday’s big game. Owners Amanda Belyeu and Dustin Allin said they’re expecting a packed house inside the restaurant and many deliveries going out Sunday.
“We usually fill up right before the game, and it’s usually full until we close,” Belyeu said.
They’re also introducing new menu items Sunday.
“We’re making a tiramisu, a new dessert that we’re doing — also doing a pimento cheese pizza special,” Allin said.
