Oscar Mayer Wienermobile makes week-long stop in Central Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) – If you’re driving around town this weekend, you might notice the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile on the roads. Ann Kerr, “Angus Ann,” and Jimmy Creamer, “Jumbo Dog Jimmy,” will be driving the iconic 27-foot-long hot dog mobile until Thursday.

They’ve been on the road all year traveling the country to show off the buns of fun to hot dog fans.

This weekend, Creamer returns home to Vestavia Hills, after graduating from the University of Alabama in December of 2022. Kerr and Creamer joined the CBS 42 Morning News live on Saturday to talk about their trip.

“It’s a surreal feeling, especially yesterday,” Creamer said, “We got to go to Tuscaloosa to my alma mater, The University of Alabama, and having the big dog in my driveway is incredible. My neighbors are going bananas for it. And you know, it’s just great to be back in Birmingham.”

The duo is partnered up until June when new hotdoggers will venture out to drive across the country. They’ll be recruiting the next class of hotdoggers at the University of Alabama next week.
