Board member sues Birmingham Water Works, says he hasn’t been paid in a year

A second member of the Birmingham Water Works Board is suing the utility as heated disputes among leadership spill over into courtrooms. Board member Lucien Blankenship alleges in the lawsuit that Tereshia Huffman, the chair of the Water Works board, has prevented him from being paid a $1,000 monthly stipend that other board members receive for attending meetings.
