BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A local fraternity is looking to shape its community across Central Alabama as it celebrates half a century of helping its community. Four members of the Homewood Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. were recognized for 50 years of service on Saturday. One man said he’s the product of those who poured into him and other members of the organization, and now their goal is to give those same opportunities to those coming behind them.
