BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The City of Birmingham has announced that they will be launching their Facade Improvement Program.
Back-to-school giveaways in Central Alabama
The initiative will offer forgivable loans of up to $50,000 to small businesses within city limits to support property revitalization efforts. The program will also aim to restore and enhance the appearance of blighted or dilapidated buildings and preserve the historic charter of Birmingham’s neighborhoods. The city hopes to catalyze broader revitalization efforts, encourage property reinvestment, attract new businesses and increase property values.
