BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Good morning and happy Saturday! I’ve got some good news for you as we start out the weekend. We won’t have to deal with a heat advisory this afternoon. We also don’t have to worry about strong and severe storms. We are starting the morning with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Patchy fog can’t be ruled out this morning. Any fog that develops will likely dissipate by 9 a.m. CDT. First Alert AccuTrack Satellite and Radar is showing us mostly dry with a mostly clear sky. I’m tracking a few showers in the southern half of the state, but that’s where the rain will likely stay going into the afternoon and evening hours. We have a weak cold front that is pushing through the area that will help to dry us out and limit the heat this afternoon.
