(WBRC) – The Alabama Red Cross reports a 25% decrease in blood donors compared to this time last year, and the Birmingham Police Department wants to help. “We can’t stress alone how important that blood supply is when it comes to saving victims of traumatic injuries,” said Officer Truman Fitzgerald with BPD.
