18 new officers graduated from the Birmingham Police Training Academy Friday. This class is the largest since April 2020, according to Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond. “This is a profession of service. You have got to be willing to serve and give your best to the citizens of Birmingham. I think we found those people,” said Thurmond.
