Last school year, Taylor Cunningham was kicked out of high school. But he figured out a way to pivot, adjust to changes and graduate anyways. Friday, Cunningham, 17, stood proudly in his blue cap and gown as valedictorian of the Housing Authority of Birmingham District’s Magic City YouthBuild program.
