Smooth Jazz festivals in Birmingham and Montgomery planned for 2025

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Early bird tickets are on sale now for two upcoming Jazz festivals in Alabama happening next year.

The Montgomery Smooth Jazz Festival, originally scheduled for September , has been postponed until March 14 and 15, 2025, at the Riverwalk Amphitheater in Montgomery.

Organizers with Empowerment Inc. stated those who purchased tickets for the September festival will be emailed to either be refunded or issued tickets for the rescheduled dates.

The two-day festival will feature a must-see lineup of artists such as Boney James, legendary band Con Funk Shun, Evelyn “Champagne” King and more.

The Steel City Smooth Jazz Festival is planned for June 5 through June 8, 2025, at the historic Linn Park in downtown Birmingham.

A variety of music genres will be celebrated, from Blues to R&B and Gospel. The official lineup will be announced in the coming months.
