The City of Birmingham held a news conference Wednesday afternoon to announce a new program expanding drug court aimed at cutting down on crime. Judge Andra Sparks, presiding judge of Birmingham Municipal Court, opened the news conference announcing a notice of another round of grants from the federal government to help citizens of Birmingham struggling with substance abuse. He was joined by members of the municipal court.
