BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Emily and David Abney are two of many who have been impacted by cancer. But for this couple, it’s how they met and fell in love. Emily had a friend in college who was diagnosed with brain cancer. She encouraged Emily to simply talk about cancer. As she continued talking about it, she became more passionate about wanting to make a difference. Eventually, Emily joined the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
