Traffic pattern change coming to Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Changes are coming to Birmingham’s Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard.

Effective on Monday, the section of the road spanning from the 1600 block to Highland Avenue will be converted into a two-way street as part of the city’s complete streets strategy. This is part of the city’s $12.9 million street resurfacing plan for 2024.
