BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — State Representative Juandalynn Givan joined CBS 42 Morning News to discuss the mass shooting in Birmingham that left four people dead and 17 people injured.
On Saturday, a shooting took place outside the club Hush in the Five Points South district downtown, which police described as a “targeted” shooting involving several people in a possible “murder-for-hire” plot. Police believe the shooting was done with fully automatic firearms.

In a press conference the morning following the shooting, BPD Chief Scott Thurmond said police believe the shooting happened after a vehicle pulled up near the club and “multiple shooters” got out and proceeded to open fire , subsequently fleeing the area. According to Thurmond, approximately 100 shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers and the FBI are now offering a combined reward of $100,000 to anyone with information on whoever was behind the mass shooting.
