BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes after a crash on I-459 NB at Derby Parkway caused significant backups Monday morning.
Crews are currently working to clear the scene of the crash and reopen lanes of traffic.
State troopers said the crash happened shortly before midnight and has caused the closure of all northbound lanes. There is no estimated time available for when the lanes will be reopened.
