Friday: High clouds will linger across Alabama on Friday as the lifts to the north as a warm front, and high pressure moves northeast. We will be mostly sunny with near-record highs in the middle to upper 80s. The record is 88° set back in 1927. The weather will be good for high school football Friday evening with temperatures falling from the 70s at kickoff into the 60s by the end of the games.

Weekend Outlook : A strong cold front will move across Alabama this weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and warm with highs in the middle 80s. The cold front will stall across South Alabama on Sunday. It will be partly cloudy and warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s. A stray shower is possible Sunday, but we do not expect much accumulation, if any.

Football Forecast : This will be great weather for all the local college football games, including the Magic City Classic on Saturday at 2:30 PM, and Alabama vs. Missouri at 2:30 PM in Tuscaloosa for Homecoming.
