First Alert Weather: Mostly dry weather continues; highs in the 80s

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – First Alert AccuTrack shows some clouds and spotty sprinkles trying to slip south across north Alabama this morning as a weak cold front nudges into the state. Rain chances will remain slim for us at 10% or less, so don’t expect much in the way of accumulation. By the afternoon hours, a stray sprinkle can’t be ruled out in east Alabama. Most of us won’t see much of anything. We haven’t recorded any rain for most of the month. If we don’t see any rain tomorrow in Birmingham or Anniston, we will likely record the driest October on record for both cities. The majority of us will likely end up partly cloudy and dry with highs approaching 80°F. Upper 70s will be likely if you live north of I-20. Temperatures could briefly warm into the lower 80s south of I-20 Sunday afternoon. Winds should come from the north tomorrow at 5 mph.
