2 arrested in connection to shooting at Homewood apartment complex

HOMEWOOD, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Two arrests have been made in connection to a shooting in Homewood on Nov. 18.

Jacob Cottrell, 19, of Birmingham, was arrested and transported to the Homewood City Jail. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and first-degree robbery. He is being held with no bond.

Women found shot at Homewood apartment complex

Augustus Bozman Jr., 18, of Bessemer, was arrested and transported to the Homewood City Jail. He is charged with first-degree robbery. He is being held with no bond.

According to Homewood police, officers were dispatched around 10:32 p.m. to a report of suspicious people in the area of the 900 block of Valley Ridge Drive, which is where the Valora at Homewood apartments are located. Police discovered a vehicle at the scene that was occupied by two women who were shot. They were taken to UAB Hospital with serious injuries.
