FULTONDALE, Ala. ( WIAT ) – The Power of Life Foundation’s mission is to empower underserved people to achieve economic and social success. It will be serving the Fultondale community with its annual coat and toy giveaway Sunday.
Lane Harper is the founder of the foundation with a mission to give back and treat people the way you want to be treated.
“It’s just an amazing opportunity to see how many people actually care for other people, and we want everybody to know that while we’re working so hard for you, there’s so many people that care about you out here,” Harper said. “This is not just for Fultondale. It’s for anybody within the sound of my voice.”

He said it has grown every year and expects to serve between 300 and 500 people.
“After this concludes on Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be going out door to door of selected residences that have children,” Harper said.
Harper said there is always a need for donations to keep events like this going each year. You can find more information on the nonprofit’s website by clocking here .
