Christmas Eve will be a dry day as clouds increase from the west ahead of our next weather maker. It will be warmer, with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Christmas Eve night will be cloudy and chilly as Santa arrives with lows in the middle 30s.

Christmas Day , Wednesday will be cloudy and mild with scattered showers as an upper-level wave moves across the Southeast U.S. This will not be the nicest Christmas across Alabama this year. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Thursday will be a relatively dry day with plenty of clouds as high pressure sends another dry wedge of air into Alabama. It will be cool with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Another upper-level wave will move across Central Alabama on Friday bringing us another round of scattered showers with highs in the 60s. This could bring a few showers to town for the Birmingham Bowl at Protective Stadium at 2:30 PM.
