BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A Birmingham man was arrested following a robbery and shooting Tuesday at an apartment complex, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Birmingham police officers arrived to an apartment around 4:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of 12th Avenue North. Officers were conducting an investigation regarding a man who was robbed and shot by someone he knew. The victim suffered not life-threatening injuries.

Officers started a follow-up investigation. They learned the suspect may have been barricaded inside his apartment. Birmingham police stated they safely resolved the situation.
