Honduran National Arrested in Connection with Nashville Double Homicide After Multiagency Manhunt

An extensive collaboration between federal and local law enforcement agencies has culminated in the arrest of a Honduran national sought in connection with a grisly double homicide in Nashville. Josue Hernandez Moxje, 23, was apprehended earlier this month on the heels of a Tennessee arrest warrant, marking the end of a high-stakes manhunt that extended across state lines, as reported by ICE.

The coordinated effort featured agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Nashville, the Metro Nashville Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, all working in concert to track down the suspect, following an April 28 emergency response to a devastating crime scene near Percy Priest Lake and Lincoya Bay Apartments, where two young men from Alabaster, Alabama were found slain—identified as Amir Landan Wilkerson, 19, and Jaime Valdez-Garcia, 18, their deaths now the crux of a case that has roared to its judicial beginning.

According to details released by ICE, Hernandez allegedly entered the United States without inspection around 2013 or 2014 and had a previous record marked by felony convictions including domestic violence with strangulation, fraud, and theft.
