Arrest Made in Limestone County in Multi-state Fraud Investigation

A Birmingham man has been arrested in Limestone County, AL, in connection with a multi-state fraud investigation that originated in Vermont. The man, identified as Keonta Demarious Cottingham, age 27, was apprehended after deputies were dispatched to his location. He attempted to leave the premises but was stopped by deputies. They report he was armed with an AR-15 pistol. They located a number of stolen identities in his vehicle. Cottingham has an extensive violent history, including charges of attempted murder, robbery and shooting into occupied buildings.
