SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A mobile home in Shelby County was unable to be saved after catching fire Sunday afternoon, according to the Saginaw Fire Department.
The Saginaw Fire Department dispatched mutual aid to a residential structure fire in the Summer Hill area at around 12:30 p.m. According to a post made on the department’s Facebook page, Saginaw Chief 231 arrived on the scene with Southeast Shelby Rescue and assumed command of the situation. The Saginaw Fire Department stated that due to the location, the extreme heat and drought conditions, the home was unable to be saved.
