BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — For many families across Alabama, a memorial quilt is helping them grieve and honor the lives of loved ones taken by violence.
Each square on the quilt represents a life. Photos are stitched side by side, framed by fabric chosen by the victims’ families. For Barbara Maxwell, two of those faces belong to her sons.
