BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division made 42 arrests during the week of July 14, 2025, to July 20, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce crime and enhance public safety. The arrests were part of the department’s commitment to directed enforcement, collaborative policing, and community engagement.
The division reported 25 felony arrests and 17 misdemeanor arrests. Additionally, officers seized eight firearms and conducted 124 traffic stops, resulting in 217 uniform traffic citations, including 32 for speeding. Ten vehicles were impounded, and officers made 309 citizen contacts and assisted in 35 patrols.
Narcotics seized during the operations included 252 grams of cocaine, 0.5 grams of crack cocaine, 21 grams of hydrocodone, 91.32 grams of marijuana, 0.25 grams of oxycodone, 0.25 grams of Percocet, and 23 grams of THC pens. The division also addressed one noise ordinance violation…
