BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The man accused of shooting and killing a person in East Lake Park, and wounding his girlfriend, told Birmingham Police the gun went off when he fell trying to run away from the victim, according to court testimony.
A Jefferson County judge ruled De’Aerius Johnson will remain in jail on no bond for the murder and assault charges.
Johnson is accused of killing Cameron Little and shooting his girlfriend in the shoulder. Birmingham Police responded to a ShotSpotter call around 11:40 p.m. on July 16 to 84th Street North and later found Little’s body in the park…
