Alabama politicians weigh in on hot car death of 3-year-old boy

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Legislators in Alabama are offering their thoughts on the recent death of a 3-year-old child who was left to die in a hot car in Bessemer.

On Tuesday, Ke’Torrius “KJ” Starkes was found alone inside a car that was turned off and had the windows rolled up, according the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The Birmingham Police Department stated Starkes was left inside the vehicle while in the care of a third-party contracted worker through the Alabama Department of Human Resources. That person was taken to BPD Headquarters for questioning. The BPD stated they were cooperative…
