Shelby County Sheriff’s Office to run safety checkpoint

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office announced it will run a safety checkpoint Sunday night in the Alabaster area.

The checkpoint will be set up from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the intersection of Kent Dairy Road and County Road 17. The SCSO stated the checkpoint is designed to expand law enforcement presence and dissuade risky driving behaviors.
