Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office details largest drug bust in recent memory

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – More than $300,000 in drugs has been taken off the streets, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. This drug bust is part of an ongoing long-term investigation by JCSO.

“This is one of the largest that we’ve seen in recent memory,” said Jefferson County Public Information Officer Henry Irby.

One man has been arrested in connection to the drug bust. JCSO arrested Marcus Allen Harper, 41, and charged him with drug trafficking. He’s being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond…
