Jefferson County man accused of dozens of fake 911 calls, faces felony charge

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Jefferson County man is accused of making dozens of prank calls to 911, including false reports of a bomb thrown into a church, a child shot and a deputy run over.

Court records show 23-year-old Desean Brooks placed the calls to multiple agencies, including smaller departments such as Lipscomb Police.

One call claimed his 5-year-old child had been shot, but that turned out to be false…
