HOOVER, Ala. (WBMA) — A Hoover couple is voicing concerns over a hazardous traffic situation at the intersection of Highway 119 and Highway 280, which they say has been neglected for too long. Dan and Leah Stockdill, who live about half a mile from the intersection, frequently drive through the area and have witnessed dangerous incidents firsthand.
The Stockdills expressed their worries not only for their own safety but also for other drivers. Dan Stockdill said, “My concerns are with the wrecks, somebody getting hurt and it’s causing road rage.”
Leah Stockdill recounted a troubling experience, saying, “I am going into work and I am in the turn lane and have someone not seeing the yellow line pull right into my lane in front of me and give me obscene gestures and we’re coming at each other. I’m in the right of way, they’re in the wrong way and don’t realize it and are they gonna hit me.”…
