BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A pedestrian who was struck on Interstate 59/20 Monday was identified Wednesday by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Birmingham resident Kenda Jones, 34, was walking in the travel lanes around 3:54 a.m. when a vehicle struck her. She was transported to UAB Hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries around 10:31 a.m.
