Some dogs cleared for adoption after distemper discovered at GBHS

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — The Greater Birmingham Humane Society announced that some of its dogs have been cleared for adoption after cases of canine distemper were discovered at Jefferson County Animal Care & Control.

Dog adoptions were previously paused earlier this week. Non-emergency owner surrenders were also put on pause.
