BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Birmingham Police Chief Michael Pickett announced the arrest of a juvenile suspect in connection to the murder of Aldorthia Burrell, an 82-year-old woman who was shot on her front porch. The 17-year-old suspect has been charged with capital murder and is currently held at the Jefferson County Jail with no bondI He was arrested on Friday, September 12.
The arrest was announced in a news conference on Saturday morning.
“We got him,” said Chief Pickett. “I am proud to announce BPD has arrested an individual responsible for killing Aldorthia Burrell. The suspect has been charged with capital murder.”…
