The Bessemer Fire Chief has confirmed to ABC 33/40 that a man was killed in an industrial incident at U.S. Pipe Thursday morning.
He says the man was dead when they arrived. U.S. Pipe identified the man killed as Dorsey Holt.
Patrick Lenow, a spokesman for U.S. Pipe, issued a statement to ABC 33/40, saying, “It’s a very sad day at our company, as we share the passing of Dorsey Holt. Dorsey was involved in a tragic accident this morning. Our hearts ache, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who worked with him. We are working closely with authorities on site, and as a result, the plant will be closed for a short duration.”…
