JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. – The man charged in the shooting death of a pregnant woman in Lipscomb last month will remain in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
Alfred Lee Colvin, III appeared in the Jefferson County District Court on Wednesday, September 24. District Judge David Carpenter ordered Colvin remain in jail with no bond.
Colvin is accused of shooting and killing Angelicca Newton. Newton was found shot to death in the passenger seat of a pickup truck on August 21 in the area of 5th Street North. Officials said the woman was 10 to 11 weeks pregnant at the time of her death…
