BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A homicide occurred Thursday in the 5400 block of Jefferson Avenue Southwest, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Shortly before noon. West Precinct officers responded to the scene on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
