Hoover City Council approves sale of Bains Bridge property for new development

The Hoover City Council has unanimously approved the sale of a portion of the city-owned Bains Bridge property to Cahaba Landing Development LLC.

The site, formerly home to the Bama Concrete plant along Old Montgomery Highway, is set to be transformed into a mixed-use development called Cahaba Landing. The project will cover approximately 20,000 square feet near the Cahaba River Bridge in the Riverchase community.

Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato expressed enthusiasm for the development, stating, “We recognized years ago, when the property became available, that it would allow us to partner in building an amazing development like Cahaba Landing.” He added that the project would be “an incredible family/entertainment amenity.”…
