The City of Birmingham’s Department of Transportation has announced a series of road closures and adjustments in preparation for the 84th Annual Magic City Classic. These changes will affect traffic flow and parking in various parts of the city from Oct. 22 to Oct. 26.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, the outside lane of eastbound Graymont Avenue will be closed. Concrete barricades will be placed to restrict access to Graymont Ave. from 3rd St. West to 6th St. West and to 8th Ave. West from 3rd Ave. W to 7th Ave. West.
Further closures are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24, at 11 p.m., when parking will be prohibited on streets along the parade route. Vehicles parked after this time will be towed…
