Alabama A&M hits record enrollment for third year in a row

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Alabama A&M University has set another enrollment record, with 7,808 students registered for the fall semester – the highest in the school’s 150-year history and a 7% increase over last year.

The growth marks the third consecutive year of record enrollment at the state’s largest historically Black university. The increase is driven by strong recruitment, new academic offerings and continued investment in campus facilities, according to university officials.

“This growth is not by chance. It’s the outcome of a deep commitment to student success,” AAMU President Daniel Wims said. “We’ve invested in academic programs that meet workforce needs, in the physical transformation of our campus, and in the experiences that make Alabama A&M a place where students want to be.”…
