BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A First Alert Weather Day continues for today due to the potential for isolated instances of flooding.
Much of central Alabama has very dry, hard-packed soil, and with over an inch of rain possible in some locations, runoff could lead to brief flooding in low-lying or poor-drainage spots.
Today: Widespread rain is expected through much of the day as an upper-level low pressure system moves across the region.
The heaviest rain should develop during the late morning and afternoon hours, continuing into the evening. While instability will stay limited, a few isolated thunderstorms may develop at times. Winds could be a bit gusty, though we should remain below advisory levels…
